The FAQs

Where can we have our on-location session?

For my locations I am a garden and ocean lover, so it depends on what kind of look you prefer. We can either go to one of the gardens in the city or go to one of the beautiful beaches along the bayside suburbs. We can discuss your preferred location when booking your session. Some locations may incur additional costs due to travel time.

Do you Travel?

Yes! I’m located in Melbourne’s Bayside area. Travel within 20 km of Cheltenham, VIC 3192 is included in your session. Locations further away will incur a $100 travel fee.

What happens if it’s raining?

If it’s forecast to rain we can reschedule. There will be no fees or extra charges for changing shooting day due to the weather.

How many photos do we get?

It depends on the package you select. You’re welcome to purchase additional images anytime after viewing your gallery.

Can I purchase additional images?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to upgrade your package anytime after viewing your gallery.

Upgrade Options; single image $25, 5 images for $100, 10 images for $150, 20 images for $250, 30 images for $350. Additional images beyond 30 are available upon request.

How do we get our photos?

All the final images will be delivered through a private online storage, all images will be in a high resolution and web friendly format (JPEG file). Please note that there will be no RAW file.

Do you retouch photos?

Absolutely! I offer light, natural retouching to help you feel your best while still looking like you. This includes softening blemishes, whitening teeth, and removing any distracting elements in the background, such as people walking by.

I completely understand that pregnancy can sometimes make mums feel a little self-conscious, so I always edit with care and intention. I don’t add anything that wasn’t originally there, and I keep everything true to you. Subtle adjustments like softening double chins or gently slimming arms can also be done upon request, while keeping the final images natural and authentic.

Whats your turn around time?

My turn around time at the moment is 1-2 weeks. A few “sneak peek” photos will be posted on my social media soon after the photoshoot.

What should we wear?

The most important thing is to wear something you feel comfortable in. I love neutral and earthy tones like white, cream, beige, caramel, toffee, and brown.

These colour tones work beautifully with my preferred shooting locations, studio, and editing style. I recommend that all family members wear similar tones or colours that complement each other for a cohesive and timeless look.

I also offer a complimentary client wardrobe for women, newborns, and young children, with a selection of beautiful pieces available for your session. You’re welcome to choose up to two outfits to borrow for your shoot.

Do we need to bring anything in particular?

If you have any items that are sentimental to you and your loved ones, and you would like me to incorporate these meaningful items into the session please do bring it along. For example, a kid’s favourite soft toy.

When is the best time to do newborn photography?

Newborn sessions are best done in the first 1 to 2 weeks of life, while the baby is still very tiny and very sleepy.

Nevertheless, any age is the perfect age for photos <3

If your baby is growing out of the sleepy period, we can still do newborn photos, however you may have more awake photos than sleeping photos.

When is the best time to do maternity photography?

Maternity sessions are best done between 32 to 36 weeks of pregnancy when your belly is wonderfully round and you still have the energy to walk around.

Do you provide unedited JPEG or RAW files?

Sorry, I do not provide unedited JPEGs or RAW files. Every image delivered in your gallery is carefully hand-edited in my signature style, which is a big part of the final experience and the work you see throughout my portfolio.

RAW files are unfinished files that require professional editing software and are not a true reflection of the final artwork. In the same way a chef wouldn’t serve uncooked ingredients, RAW files are simply the starting point of the creative process.

I pour a lot of love and care into colour grading, skin tones, lighting, and final touches to make your images feel warm, timeless, and cohesive. Because of this, only fully edited final images are delivered to clients.
